| Million
Voices for Darfur |
|
Since
February, 2003, an estimated 400,000 men, women,
and children have lost their lives in an ongoing
genocide in Darfur, Sudan. Millions more have
been forced from their homes, fleeing for their
lives.
While we and other advocacy organizations have
been urging specific actions since the crisis
began, the key decision makers have not yet felt
the public pressure necessary to force them to
act. The Million Voices for Darfur campaign
has been designed to help millions of Americans
make their voices heard, and to compel their elected
leaders to act.

Thousands
of children all over the world have participated
in the Tree-By-Tree project, purchasing one tree
at a time with the goal of creating and dedicating
a forest in Israel in memory of the 1.5 million
children who perished in the Holocaust.
The Center for Holocaust and Humanity Education together with the Jewish National Fund and Kehillat Yozma (The Reform Congregation of Modiin, Israel) inaugurated this unique forest in February 2007 in Modiin, Israel. To learn more about how the project continues to evolve, please visit: www.yozma.org.il/mail/eng/tree07-b.htm
