“Unlocking the Gates: Liberation and the Nuremberg Trials”
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Leon Bass
Tuesday, February 26, 2013, 4:30-7:30pm
Dinner will be served and CEUs are available!

Please join us for our first educator workshop of 2013! Through film and examination of primary documents and sources, we will explore the liberation of the concentration camps and the question of finding justice after the Holocaust. Presenter, Dr. Leon Bass, who, at the age of 19, liberated the Buchenwald concentration camp as a soldier in a segregated military unit, went on to become an activist in the American Civil Rights Movement. He will reflect on his experiences during WWII as well as how they motivated him to become an upstander for positive change.

To register or for more information, please email Alexis Storch, astorch@holocaustandhumanity.org or call (513) 487-3055.
