Exclusive Screening of Bye Bye Germany (Auf Wiedersehn Deutschland) followed by a post discussion with Jodi Elowitz, Director of Education HHC

October 15, 2017 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Fresh from runs at major festivals, Bye Bye Germany (Auf Wiedersehn Deutschland) takes us into the lives of Holocaust survivors in 1946 Frankfurt, in migrant limbo dreaming of life in other countries, wrestling with painful memories of persecution by the Nazis.

The Jews who remained in post-WWII Germany have largely been overlooked onscreen, giving this film a unique and rarely seen narrative freshness and historical importance.  Based on true characters, it deftly combines humor and poignancy, creating an engaging and emotional experience.
