Meet Our Upstander Finalist: Kimberly Huckleby

Kimberly Huckleby consistently demonstrates what it means to stand up for others by dedicating herself to supporting young girls and families through empathy, determination, and meaningful service. As the founder of Ladies of Leadership, she has built a powerful community where girls feel seen, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential. What began as a small mentoring group has grown into a multi-site initiative serving hundreds of girls each year and impacting thousands across Greater Cincinnati.

Kimberly’s leadership is deeply personal and rooted in advocacy. She does not turn away from difficult situations. When young people face challenges such as bullying, grief, academic struggles, or instability at home, she steps in. She advocates in schools, supports families in crisis, and challenges systems that fall short. She consistently shows up in the moments that matter most, ensuring that no child feels alone or overlooked.

Through her work, Kimberly teaches young people to find their voice and use it with confidence and compassion. She models what it means to pursue justice while leading with empathy and grace. Despite personal challenges, she continues to choose courage over comfort, dedicating her time and energy to creating opportunities and hope for others.

Kimberly Huckleby is transforming lives through her leadership and example. Her work reflects a deep belief that every child deserves to be supported, valued, and given the chance to succeed, and she stands up every day to make that belief a reality.
