Cincy Upstander Project: What We Can Do to Address Housing Insecurity During COVID-19

December 15, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Tuesday, December 15, 2020 | Noon | Zoom | Series held the third Tuesday of the month

As temperatures drop during the winter months and the COVID-19 pandemic continues to devastate Ohio communities, the issues of housing insecurity and homelessness only become more complex. Many families are one job loss or one medical emergency away from homelessness, and local nonprofits say they’re dealing with an uptick in those experiencing homelessness in our community. Nonprofit leaders discuss Cincinnati’s affordable housing crisis, why the pandemic is having a direct impact on housing insecurity, and how you can help.

Join us to hear from panelists Alexis Aghotte, Rapid Rehousing Program Manager at Shelterhouse, Samuel Landis, Co-Founder President/Executive Director of Maslow’s Army, and Beth Schwartz, President and CEO of Cincinnati Union Bethel.

This program is part of the Cincy Upstander Project’s monthly program series. Through generous funding from the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr./U.S. Bank Foundation and creative support from the AGAR agency, the Cincy #UpstanderProject aims to inspire our community to become upstanders through a city-wide art campaign, monthly programs, museum tours, and training opportunities.
