Holocaust Speaker Series: Bob Mermelstein
October 26 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
The Holocaust Speaker Series, held each Wednesday at 11:00 am, features Holocaust survivors and descendants of survivors sharing stories of life before, during, and after the Holocaust. Join us on Wednesday, October 26 at 11:00 am via Zoom with Bob Mermelstein.
Bob tells the story of his mother’s experiences before, during, and after the Holocaust. Fallout from the Third Reich’s reign of terror in Eastern Czechoslovakia interrupted Joan’s college education, and shortly led to loss of her family’s farm, 11 months of internment in 3 different concentration camps, and to the murder of almost 30 of her family members. Bob has lived in Cincinnati for the past 50 years. He is retired from careers at Procter & Gamble, Habitat for Humanity, and Cincinnati Public Schools.
Generously sponsored by Margaret and Michael Valentine and presented in partnership with the Harriet and Kenneth Kupferberg Holocaust Center and the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage.
