Brian Ibold has devoted his life to serving others, leading with empathy, integrity, and a deep commitment to improving the lives of those around him. A retired police officer, Brian spent years witnessing the realities of financial hardship facing families across the city. Rather than stepping away in retirement, he chose to step forward.
Drawing from both his professional experience and his own upbringing by a single mother, Brian understood that many families simply need support at the right moment to regain stability. In response, he founded The Help Squad Cincy, a nonprofit built on trust, accessibility, and immediate impact. Fully donor-funded, the organization ensures that every dollar goes directly back into the community, providing financial assistance to families without judgment, barriers, or complicated processes.
Through Brian’s leadership, The Help Squad has become a lifeline for individuals facing crisis, offering not only support, but hope and a renewed sense of possibility for countless individuals and families across West Side neighborhoods. His vision is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: when people are given a second chance and someone believes in them, they can thrive.
What makes Brian’s work even more meaningful is the team he has inspired. Entirely volunteer-driven, The Help Squad reflects a shared commitment to service, including leaders like Vice President Samantha Jasper, who continues to give selflessly even while navigating her own health journey. Together, they have created a culture of compassion that uplifts the entire community.
Brian Ibold does more than help people in need. He meets them where they are, restores dignity, and reminds them they are not alone. Through his leadership and unwavering dedication, he is building a stronger, more compassionate Cincinnati, one family at a time.
