Ready to shine like an Upstander at the Upstander 5K & Family Day on Sunday, June 30? Here’s the full schedule so you can make the most of this day of fun and activations at historic Union Terminal.

Fleet Feet Upstander 5K

Kick off your morning with the Fleet Feet Upstander 5K! The race starts promptly at 8:30 a.m. at the starting line in front of Union Terminal. Runners and walkers will enjoy a scenic course through the West End, with breakfast, activities and pickleball waiting after they cross the finish line.

Packet Pick-Up for the Upstander 5K will be available at Fleet Feet Blue Ash on Friday, June 28th and Saturday, June 29th 10am – 3pm. Race Morning Packet Pick-Up will be available on race site starting at 7:30 a.m.

Upstander Family Day Schedule

Here’s your guide to all of the fun happening in and around Union Terminal after you finish the Upstander 5K:

  • Upstander Friendship Bracelets & Photo Booth: 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in the Rotunda. Upstanders value relationships with those in their communities. Come make upstander-themed friendship bracelets to show others you care! Then, take a photo with your new friends!
  • Strengths Superheroes & Face Painting: 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. outside the Children’s Museum. Show your children that they can be heroes! Kids will discover their super strengths by dressing up as superheroes and getting their face painted!
  • Za Za’s Superpower Story & Scent Science: 10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. at the Kidspace inside the Children’s Museum. This program introduces children to the art and science of perfumery by encouraging curiosity and sensory exploration through the power of scent.
  • Pet Partners of Cincinnati Meet & Greet: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Rotunda. Get a first-hand look at the transformative power of therapy dogs with Pet Partners of Greater Cincinnati. Discover how these amazing dogs support and enrich the emotional and physical lives of those in our community.
  • Band in a Bus: 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. in the STEM classroom on the Mezzanine Level. Participate in our ‘jam circle,’ learn the basics of making music and develop your relationship building, communication and social-emotional skills!
  • Little Acts, Big Impact: Mini Upstander Play Session: 12 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Corbett Theater inside the Children’s Museum. Our talented theatre artist will engage your mini-upstander to harness their creativity with songs, games, and fun with friends!
  • Cincinnati Art Museum Craft: 12 – 1:30 p.m. at the Kidspace inside the Children’s Museum. Get ready to channel your inner artist and join us for portrait painting fun! Using materials inspired by the Cincinnati Art Museum’s collection, create a self-portrait that highlights your top character strengths!
  • Upstander Tour: 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. at the Holocaust & Humanity Center. Through this immersive experience, you will encounter contemporary and historical stories of courage, perseverance, loss, redemption, and new life, as told by local Holocaust survivors and upstanders.
